Why are you making one region at a time?
As part of my restart of Vv I took a lot of time to plan how I was going to tackle the land, and the main idea that stuck in my mind was to work on one small area at a time. After our team grew in size, we got together and planned what area we would like to work on. This changed from a small area into a region.
Developing a region at a time allows us to focus our efforts on one section of the landmass, which means we are more organised and also we have our full team working together on one part of the mod and not scattered around. This aids in the speed and quality of our development, meaning we can have an actual release within a shorter amount of time.
Will the mod have Morrowind gameplay? No fast travel for example?
No. Not directly implemented in the mod. We will have optional plug-ins to do things like this, though we will have a Morrowind Transportation network and also some other morrowind workings, like guild requirements. But no fast travel will be optional.
I want to use your meshes/textures/whatever in my own mod. Can I?
No, if/when we decide to allow others to use our assets we will distribute our own modders resource . We are open to talks with other big teams on assets use though.
I think aspect xxx of your mod is against lore! I hate you!
We want to make this mod as lore accurate as possible, but at the same time, times have moved on since the original TES3, so there are going to be changes.
Is this a total conversion/stand-alone mod?
No. It will be implemented seamlessly into the world of TES4: Oblivion. You can travel between Vvardenfell and cyrodill as you see fit.
Do you use Morrowind assets for this mod?
No. All meshes are 100% done from scratch, textures are 98% done by us or Sheogorad team or altered Oblivion textures. We will not distribute or use Morrowind assets in this mod.
So did you start this project because of the trouble with Morrobli...the tool that must not be named?
No. I resurrected Vv after it had been put to rest for a while, originally I was not going to revive the mod but I thought it would be one of the best things to see in Oblivion. Then after some talking with Phitt we joined them and now Vv is off to a staggering start. So no need or use of the tool that must not be named
So when is it done?
When it's done. The first release will be the Ashlands North and that is while off completion. When we are near finished you will see a date or approximate date of release posted.
